Shoreham Airshow 2007
Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Jan's Blog

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

APOLOGIES

Date: 29th March 2014

My sincere apologies to those of you who tune in to my blog each week but I've had too much on my plate recently - a very sick cat and several talks to prepare, a mother with dementia and a frail father to worry over.

There have been some interesting matters in the last few weeks and I will try to make time towards the end of next week to devote to blog writing but it does take time.  I try to write interestingly and grammatically and putting in photos is time consuming.

I'll tel you about the Louis de Bernières interview - going up the Scaffolding on the South side of Canterbury Cathedral, hard hat and all and the War Memorial Trust course (which proved to be more challenging than I had imagined).  Also, we've lost our French speaker at Capel and I now have to do my best with the visiting groups of French youngsters.  My French is adequate but not good enough to give a lengthy description of the Battle of Britain and the Wall of Remembrance but I do my best.

For now, adieu.   Jan
