Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

RENÉ MOUCHOTTE - Searching for René - the Documentary

Date: 7th December 2012

Recently I went to BBCTunbridge Wells to record the Voice Over on my documentary about René Mouchotte.  They showed it to me in the 'rough-cut' stage with the VO recorded by the Producer.  Now I know I'm a bit biased but at the end I had tears streaming down my face and the Editor's eyes were also rather red - and he's a great big burly man from Leeds!

So I do hope it will have a similar effect on the viewers when it is finally transmitted in the New Year.  Although it is a SE Regional programme which will go out in the Inside Out slot on a Monday evening, I think it will also be shown in the Leeds area because of the helpful involvement of the Director of the Allied Air Forces Museum in York.

René was variously based all round the country - at Turnhouse and Drem in Scotland, Valley in Wales and many other places so the documentary might get shown round many other regions as well.  Who knows?
