Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

LLANDDEWI BREFI - Pantglas Retreat

Date: 12th September 2011

After Workington I had a very long drive down to West Wales where some friends have set up a Yoga/Painting/Retreat at Llanddewi-Brefi or rather on a hill above the village with stunning scenery and wonderful walks.

They bought a Welsh farmhouse and barn and have worked for a year and turned it into a mini Paradise. The barn is very large and serves as a studio for a Yoga Retreat or a Painting course or whatever a group might study in a ‘get away from it all’ environment. They’ve erected Yurts on the property - amazing things. Yurts are used by nomadic Mongols - and these English ones have to be seen to be believed - very spacious with twin beds in a 13ft area and a little wood burning stove.

Lynnie and Rickie are self sufficient in energy with Hydro-Electric power generated from the Mountain stream and they also have a very large Solar Panel which converts into Electricity. Everything is Eco and I was very impressed with it all. The weather wasn’t too good but I could see the potential for some wonderful walks.

They now have their website up and running - do take a look  -  www.thepantglascentre.com
