Shoreham Airshow 2007
Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Jan's Blog

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

Date: 16th May 2011

Two messages for you lovely people who click in and make my writing and photography a worthwhile venture.

For some reason I cannot get my Ipad and computer to link up so the Blogs I wrote in Paris I haven't yet been able to transfer (the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Place de la Republique was too mean to allow Wifi access and when you did pay your 7 Euros you only got an hour which had to be used in one session or you lost the time)  When my helper, Paul comes around later this week I'll be able to transfer the blogs  - I don't want to have to write them all over again - it may not seem so but I do spend time trying to make the blogs read well.

And secondly - I've suddenly got over a 100 Japanese clicking onto the site.  I can only think it is because of my write up of the fabulous Japanese Garden at Compton Acres.  So my Japanese 'friends' - if you would like to see more photos, do let me know.  I can only post one on the Blog but can put any number into the Gallery.  Mind you they do take time and have to be posted individually so I do hold back from posting too many.  But, if the demand is there, I'll do it for you. (I no longer have a garden but when I did I always wished I'd had the money to create a Japanese garden - I think they are wonderfully peaceful and use water in a fabulous way.

I've never written so many blogs but May has been an exceptionally busy and exciting month.  There's almost nothing in the diary for June except a tour up the Bell Harry Tower at Canterbury Cathedral.

Bye for now - Jan
