Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Jan's Blog

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

APOLOGIES

Date: 1st April 2011

APOLOGIES

Apologies for not writing up the Blog recently – have been too-ing and fro-ing to the Cathedral.
I’ve got some lovely photos and information to share but simply haven’t had the time to sit down and write. The blogs and loading photos is quite time consuming.

SO PLEASE ‘DON’T GIVE UP ON ME BABY’ – the words of a David Soul song from the late 70’s for those of you old enough to remember. (I actually got to interview him on Pebble Mill at One – those were the days!)

Have just had an invitation to a wedding in San Francisco – the bridegroom’s mother and I were in ‘Severed Head’ in Sydney back in the 60’s and we’ve kept in touch. She was Ro Gerrett and is now Ro MacHardy and a script writer among many other talents.

Have only ever been to Atlanta and Chicago and know very little about the States so I shall raid the piggy bank and accept.

Suddenly this rather bleak year is really looking up. The only blot on the horizon is that my son was hoping to come back for his 30th Birthday and is now unable to make it.

They say ‘you’re not dead till they nail down the lid’! – so I’m going to go for everything on offer.

Promise I will devote a few hours to Blog writing during the week in between trying desperately to revise for our Cathedral  Assistant Guides’ Assessment. I get my Website analysis every Monday morning so please keep tuning in and I really have got some super photos of the Cathedral – stained glass and other facets of the most wonderful Cathedral in the World – in my humble opinion.

Bye for now - Jan
