Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Jan's Blog

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

RARE TRAITS - a real treat

Date: 15th September 2016

I recently visited a friend and came away clutching 3 books she'd lent me written by a friend of hers whom she met during her sojourn in Hong Kong.

David George Clarke was a Forensic Scientist who took a break from one career and learned to paint.  In his first book - self published  - he has combined his two specialities into a rollicking good novel.  It's almost 500 pages and I couldn't wait to go to bed at night where I do all my reading for pleasure. Well, wouldn't you want to know how a person could be hundreds of years old and who needs to keep reinventing himself to escape all kinds of mischief - someone who never ages and has to see those he loves die around him.   I got through the book  in record time and am now onto the second in this Trilogy - the other Titles being Delusional Traits and Murderous Traits.  I'm not going to give any more away but have to share with you the pleasure of reading RARE TRAITS.

Unbelievably the first novel is FREE  and if you like that - and I'm sure you will - then you can purchase the other two in the trilogy.  This is the link and happy reading.
