Shoreham Airshow 2007
Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Jan's Blog

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

Linkedin - Unsubscribe

Date: 5th February 2016

I responded to a piece posted on my son's Facebook page - it was about the Lockdown laws in Sydney.  The article was far far far too long and one lost the plot in trying to comprehend.  I wrote a comment because my son had filled me in on some of the background.

Heaven knows how but when I posted it I found that i had got into 'Linkedin' and for the life of me I can't get out.  Years ago I was advised to join the Linkedin site and for a freelance person like myself it was absolutely useless. All it attracted was Employment Agencies telling me they could find me work!!!!!!! Oh yes - if they could then I'd never be out of work!  But of course it is all generic and they don't have any idea whom they are contacting.

So I would be very grateful if someone could give me blow by blow details of how to unsubscribe.

Am still wading happily through all the wonderfully kind and upliting emails I've received and am trying to answer them all. It is only polite n'est ce pas?

Have put my Marigold photograph album together and am staggered at the beautiful colours and the memories.  It was a huge job to sift through 1,500 and cut it back to a more manageable 180.  It is also difficult to find proper photograph albums into which one can put one's photos and one's thoughts/comments.  I don't like the 'slip in' variety.

I made an album because I have 24,000 photos in my  IPhoto Library and how often do I look at them- hardly ever.  I shall also be making an album of photos from my wonderful holiday with my son in Sydney over Christmas, New Year and my Birthday. So when I'm really old and grey I can sit in my rocking chair with a cat or a dog on my lap and get lost in my memories.

Once again thank you for all your fabulously kind comments - my head is quite swollen with pride.  I've also picked up over 600 followers on Twitter - but don't worry I shall continue to write my 'essays' on this my website.  I very much enjoy writing and it is also a way of keeping a diary.

Bye for now,  Jan
