Me looking brave before taking to the air (and the wing) of the plane. Wow, it was cold !! But the whole experience was totally exhilarating.

Jan's Blog

Computers and the internet are amazing things. One of my concerns with putting together this site was that it could remain current, yet with all my travelling I've often much to say, but little time to say it. Years ago when reading the news it would take me days on end to reply to the kind letters people sent. Now, with the magic of the modern age, I can keep you up to date with what I'm doing and other events in my life.

DAVE LEE TRAVIS

I cannot believe that Dave has been found guilty of anything – other than actions of which a huge proportion of men are still guilty today -  just as they were decades ago and will be for time immemorable.

I’m sorry but, as I’ve said before – it might not have been appropriate but we all experienced ‘touching up’. Being in the television business and not prepared to enter into the ‘couch casting game’ I have been passed over or lost jobs because of it – and seen other women promoted or chosen – I wonder why!

On my website, I’ve written before in support of Dave and received many messages of support for him  from other women. I received this one yesterday – says it all doesn’t it?

I can find no other site to send my support to DLT. I believe, as he does, that there was never a need to persecute him and his family as has been done to them. Life 20 years ago was so different to that of today ands 'sex gropes' in the workplace were common place and the women were as bad towards the men! Many of us will remember giving a few choice words back to the 'gropers' and forgetting it the next minute - how can a woman be so devastated in such a way for an apparent 15 second grope, 20 years ago? Get a life and move on. Be grateful you never had to go down to the shop floor!!!!!

As for DLT, I sincerely hope he is able to pick up the pieces and that Marianne has a successful recovery following her treatment. Out of everything bad, you will find some good and the strength of your relationship was a joy to see. Take care of each other and DLT, if you Dj in the West Midlands, you will have many supporters willing to dance the night away with you and your music.

Any regular readers know that I rarely buy a newspaper - all too depressing and  biased -but I do take The Week which gives a brief overview of world situations and prints articles from the left, and the right making it, in my opinion, one of the few unbiased journals on sale.

In this week's issue of The Week, I found this piece particularly interesting and I believe endorses what I have been saying about the unjust persecution of Dave Lee Travis.  Look at and read top right and bottom left.
